American sculptor WESLEY FLEMING is known for conjuring intricate fantastical flora and fauna from molten glass. An ardent lover of the outdoors, Wesley rekindles awe and curiosity for nature in his role as ambassador for all creatures of the earth.
In 2022 Wesley was commissioned by Wes Anderson to make props for the movie "Asteroid City", which are now part of a traveling exhibit. Public collections of his art include: Corning Museum of Glass, Kobe Lampwork Glass Museum, Racine Art Museum and Tacoma Museum of Glass. Print publications featuring his sculptures include: Abeilles En Liberté, American Art Collector, Glass Art Magazine, Glass Quarterly, Lammaga, Make Magazine, Ornament Magazine, and several Schiffer Publishing books.
Wesley nurtures the next generation by teaching at institutions such as The Studio at Corning and Penland School of Crafts. He also mentors emerging artists and regularly volunteers at a local makerspace for city youth.
